Understanding site limits
Plus and Pro use two related limits. They share the same numbers (3 or 10) but count different things.
License activations
Shown under Settings → General & License → Install activations X / Y. Each separate WordPress installation (single site or multisite network on its own domain) uses one activation. Plus: up to 3 installs · Pro: up to 10 installs.
Subsite admin seats
On multisite only. Shown under Settings → Site access → Subsite seats X / Y used. Each subsite you enable for subsite administrators (typically Create backups) consumes one seat. Plus: up to 3 subsites · Pro: up to 10 subsites. Network super admins always have full access regardless of seats.

Important: Pro “10 sites” is not “10 networks, each with 10 subsites.” It is up to 10 individual subsites you choose inside your network—or up to 10 separate WordPress installs for license activations. A 50-subsite network on Pro still allows at most 10 subsites with subsite-admin access, not 500.

Admin menu
After activation, open Multisite Migrate in the WordPress sidebar. The menu grows with your plan — Free stays focused on local backup and restore; Plus and Pro add cloud, schedules, and advanced tools.

| Menu item | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Dashboard | Health, last backup, quick actions |
| Backups | List, download, restore, recovery points |
| Import & Restore | Upload archives, staging (Pro), search-replace |
| Multisite | Network scope and retention (Free on multisite) |
| Cloud Storage | Connect destinations (Plus) |
| Schedules | Automated backups (Plus) |
| Settings | License (Plus/Pro), engine, encryption, site access (Plus/Pro on multisite) |
Activity log
Every backup, restore, and import job is recorded in Dashboard → Activity log. Filter by status, search events, and open a row for full JSON details.

Documentation FAQ
Common questions before you open a guide. Still stuck? Email support with your site URL and plan.
Where should I start?
New installs: follow Getting started on this page, then run a test backup from the backup guide. Restoring or migrating? Open the restore guide next.
Do I need Plus or Pro to back up a multisite network?
No. Full network backup from Network Admin is included in Free. Plus and Pro add cloud schedules, imports, installer, staging, and WP-CLI.
What is the difference between license activations and subsite seats?
Activations count WordPress installs. Subsite seats (multisite) count how many subsites can use subsite-admin backup access. Both use the same numeric caps on Plus (3) and Pro (10), but they count different things.
Where do I find step-by-step screenshots?
Open the backup or restore guides from the cards above. Feature marketing pages under Capabilities show product overviews; guides cover the click path.
